Windmills scattered all over the Flint Hills provide water to herds of grazing cattle. This scene is located just north of El Dorado, Kansas, on US 77. The two windmills and one tree stood out in the breaking light from early morning fog. Conditions like this are so fleeting, that only a few minutes are available for selecting camera position and capturing the scene.
