Description
Black Mesa, a volcanic covered plateau at 5,000 feet above sea level is located in the northwest corner of Oklahoma, along with a state park with the same name. The Cimarron River flowing through this area is surrounded by numerous rock formations and mountains with names like �Robbers� Roost�. Contrasting the geological wonders are cactus, scrub trees, and beautiful grasses.

I like so many of your shots, Fred, but this one has such a beautiful flow to it! Looking at it from further away, it can be compared to a frothy ocean wave in it's beginning curl. This also has a strong sense of peacefulness to it. Very nice! It's in my favorites now, Fred! ;0) By the way, thanks for your comment upon my screen door post. I feel honored. Julie
